P & L could not have been thrilled about walking in the rain, but it was just a cool drizzle and we did OK.  Passrers-by w/umbrellas admired the "gorgeous" couple.  We passed a yard where a lone dove scuttered past a little bevy of street finches were perched in a line on the top rail of the fence.  Further along the journey a soaked & lonely looking black cat eyed us from where it sat in the middle of a wet church parking lot.
