It's a windy, coldfront approaching kind of day. Pillowy, batterlike clouds gatherup in front of the wind like gray, white-streaked mashed potatoes pushed along by a really big spatula. P and L have their winter coats on and are ready for the change of weather. The acknowledgments, as usual, ended only when their walk ended. The driver of a Gazzette newspaper truck parked and walked over to have a pleasant petting moment with the two.

C was not at all eager to go. Once out the door she was totally adamant about not going in the direction of the road crew. So we worked through
an alternate route that she happily approved of. K made a rare appearance. He was unusuually chummy and frisky. We played briefly at bat my pen around the table leg.
L was upstairs when I arrived but I heard the pitter patter of her little feet as soon as I called her. We had a nice walk on this cool, overcast day.
Once again, B anounced my arrival with a bark. Both L and B had a drink before I took them out to potty. We had a nice little walk in the park before coming back for treats!
S was curled up, asleep in a little ball when I arrived. He jumped up and we took off squirrel hunting. There were plenty out taunting us on this cool, breezy morning.
I saw H's head pop up when she caught sight of me coming down the hill before making the turn into her drive. She jumped up eager to walk on this cool morning. We wave at the bus driver as he passes, picking up the children for school.
I heard B bark as I came in the door announcing my arrival. We went out for a potty break first and then back in for breakfast and some playtime!

P and L were alert and ready. A brisk full back and shoulder massage exciited P to a fast walk to the door. While underway, at the sight of the photogenic pair, a little girl with her mom squealed with delight. Mimicking the child's high note report a starling called back with perfect squeeky hinge pitch. Now a vulture wheeled in a low, tight circle on the thermal over an intersection. As if on cue at the appearance of the morbid creature, the camera died. It failed to revive, so the pictures are from the archive.

B and L were glad to see me ad Erika today! We fed them dinner and took them outside. We gave them lots of pats before we left!

M gave me his hello bark and as I came in greeted me with a wagging tail. We saw a couple of deer bedded down in a yard along the way.
I heard T give a bark when I stepped on the porch today. He was eager to go, as usual! We had a nice walk on this beautiful day!

Greeted by the choir at the door, P and S were in duet mode. K, always calm and quiet, seemed to direct the the chorus with her tail as a wand. P and K eagerly charged out to the yard, but S would not budge until he received his treat.
S was curled up asleep in his crate when I arrived. He took a big stretch and was ready to go. We had a nice walk on this pretty day. Someone had a skeleton sitting in a rocking chair on their porch looking like it was enjoying the breeze.

C had a good workout/walk, even though she was very reluctant to leave the house. There is road and street repair going on all about the neighborhood for days now. She is really fed up with that. I can relate. Other than the presence of big, ugly, noisy machines, it is beautiful fall weather, and we could still make out the chortling and singing of a Carolina Wren, buzzing chickadees, and the fussy cackle of a downy woodpecker.
B and I had another great walk today. She stuck her nose in a bush and it pricked her on the nose and she jumped back startled...too funny!
B met me at the door and off we went on this pretty day. We had lots of neighborhood dogs barking at us, no doubt jealous of B out for a walk!
