Announcement!!

No Mess Pets has an ad on the back of the Kroger receipt tape! For now, the ad will be added to the tape at the store at Ashton Place. If we get a great response, we may be able to add them elsewhere (bad pun not intended!). Cute baby picture, don't you think? Our ad will begin running August 1st and run for 6 months. This is our trial period to see if we would like to renew and possibly expand. This is all super exciting!!

It was pretty wet out there today.. There was no rain during our walk, but everything was pretty soaked. She loves carrying a stick while we walk. We also played in the wet grass for a while. I toweled her off before putting her back in her kennel.. She did great! :)

Did great today. She was a little sleepy, so there was more hunting for sticks to chew on and playing than walking.

We walked all the way around the block again.. It was super hot and she got tired and wanted to lie down a few times, so I carried her a few times. Its still great because she got to see all the sights and sounds! She loves to play in the bushy plants and high grass.

We walked around the whole block today. She wanted to turn around at the regular places, but we didn't on the loop! We're going to try it again today!!

L and I walked further today than we have before. I checked out the block and we may be able to circle the block instead of walking out for 15 min and coming back. She drank lots of water and has been having a few bites of food after her walks.

Did great today - she tried to go after some squirrels and was fascinated by all the sounds in the neighborhood. There was a team of lawn care specialists out and about and she wanted to check them out. They melted at the sight of her.

New Equipment - waistpack

Hey All,
I was trying to find something to hold everything while out walking without it swinging into my way or being difficult to reach (purse/backpack), and I remembered that old standby - the hideous fannypack. This may sound silly, but I was unable to find a fannypack anywhere!! I guess they have not only been out of fashion for over a decade, but now they are not to be found anywhere! I have discovered the waistpack. This is a smaller pack and fits on the hip instead of the unflattering belly or unreachable back (as the fannypack did). This waistpack has 2 sections for my camera, phone, doggie bags, leashes, etc and fits securely without sliding around. Comfy and not droopy, hooray!

We went one way for the morning walk and the opposite way for the afternoon walk yesterday. She did really great for both. We played for a bit before the walk and then some after. She drank lots of water and had a bit of food after. She's fun!

L did awesome! She carried sticks with us most of the time. The sticks seem to keep her mind off the leash. We walked past 3 intersections and back today - she ran most of the way!

L did great today! Walked even further except we went a different way than last time. She kept picking up sticks and ruuuuning down the side of the road with me! She had lots of water and of course did tricks for treats.

She had a great time on the walk yesterday. We went farther than we had before. It was really hot, so it was great that she drank lots of water! The bottom picture shows how great she was on the leash. She only started grabbing and holding the leash at the end of the walk. We then played in the yard and she chewed her toys before we went in to get her the water. I'm off to see her now!

L did awesome today! She stopped at all the property lines, but she kept going with a little prompting. We went all the way to the Y in the road and she was looking and doing a little barking at the huge dog with the underground electic fence across the street. She is FIERCE!!!

Another great day!! L rolled around and ran as usual and really is starting to bite her toy instead of my fingers. :) We practiced with the leash - no halter this time. She did great until we got out of the yard and she was a little tentative.. We'll work on it. Your neighbor came out during the last 5 min of playtime after the walk and L fiercely barked and defended us. She drank lots of water today, too.

Did well today, L played and peed. We played some more and then worked on the leash. We then worked on sit with the hotdogs. She LOVED the hotdogs!!
